Inner Healing Workshop

In July, we had the pleasure of welcoming two guests. Eileen, who is from Porto Rico, brought an inner healing workshop for our team and for some of the women we minister to. Rebecca came from Rio, where she is doing a one-year internship with Christ Church, which is pastored by Nicky Gumbel’s (Alpha) son Johnny and wife Tara.

The workshop covered areas like ‘Why Does a Loving God Allow Suffering?’ and ‘What Is a Heart Wound And How Can We Heal?’ among others.

We held the three nights of the workshop at the home of our friends and ministry partners Derek and Amanda Blaylock. The workshop was impactful for our team, enabling us to address some of our wounds.

As we progress in the ministry and look to grow our team, we are working to incorporate this kind of self-care into the ministry's culture. This kind of work can be both emotionally and spiritually demanding, so we must take care of ourselves and our team.
